To fill your hearts with music during these times of social distancing and prohibitions on large gatherings, the Early Music Society of the Islands and partners are bringing you a summer full of musical treats.

Our Summer Garden Concert series brings you renaissance and baroque music by talented local artists in beautiful private garden settings, thanks to our generous hosts. The weekly video series Music for the Pause, brought to you by violinist Chloe Kim, will fill your Friday evenings with baroque sounds until early September.

This season brings some changes on the Board of Directors for EMSI. We say goodbye to President Rondallyn Perras, with appreciation and gratitude for her leadership and dedication over the past 12 years. The Society is a collective of eight volunteer Directors, supported by a wonderful cast of additional volunteers.

The season also brings us challenges, particularly for the musicians, who have not only lost their creative outlets, but whose incomes have been cut off due to the coronavirus pandemic. Please consider supporting our local musicians directly with your donations to our summer events. Your continued support for EMSI, through becoming members, attending events, volunteering skills, and donating generously, is greatly appreciated. Together we strive to adapt creatively in this new season, and continue bringing you excellent Early Music.
