ParticipantI’ve been wondering lately if I’ve been overthinking budgets when it comes to dating ads. Like, is there really a “right” way to spend, or is everyone just testing things and hoping something sticks?
When I first started with dating offers, my biggest issue was burning through money too fast. I’d either spend too little and see no results, or go a bit aggressive and end up with clicks that didn’t convert. It felt like there was no middle ground. Plus, dating audiences can be unpredictable, so it’s not always easy to know where your money is actually going.
What I started doing differently was keeping things small and controlled. Instead of launching big campaigns, I tested multiple smaller ones with limited daily budgets. I also focused more on tracking which creatives were getting attention versus just throwing money at placements. I came across this guide on Dating Service Marketing Campaigns early on, and it made me realize that budget isn’t just about how much you spend, but how you distribute it across tests.
One thing that worked for me was setting a strict daily cap and not touching it for at least a few days. Earlier, I used to tweak campaigns too quickly, which probably killed any real learning. Letting things run gave me clearer patterns on what actually works.
I wouldn’t say I’ve cracked the perfect formula yet, but I’ve noticed that consistency beats big spending. Small tests, patience, and focusing on what actually converts seem to matter more than having a huge budget upfront.
Curious if others here follow something similar or if you’ve found a better way to manage spend?
