To the public, Handel was the great man of theatre, the titan who dominated the English music scene for half a century. His friends saw another side; in his rooms at 25 Brook Street (Handel’s home from 1723 until his death in 1759), the finest musicians would collaborate with Handel the chamber musician. The London Handel Players recreate these musical soirées.
